Visit us at 662 Boston Post Road in Weston, Massachusetts and learn about six generations of the same family living in this house for over 200 years! All Golden Ball Tavern tours are guided by our knowledgeable and experienced docents who share the history of the house and its stories through time and the unique role that the tavern and Isaac Jones played during the Revolutionary War – for example, did you know there was a Weston Tea Party? Or that General Gage’s spies stayed at the tavern during February of 1775 for three nights over the course of more than a week? And what was the story behind the Latten Spoons found hidden in the Tavern’s foundation? Or, why did Paul Revere malign the Jones family by labeling them “Tories” after stopping at the Tavern for breakfast with his men in 1777?
You will also be able to visit our new exhibit “Spies Among Us” commemorating the 250th anniversary of General Gage’s spies visiting the museum in February of 1775.
