TRIMMING THE TAVERN 2026!

This year’s winter holiday event, Trimming the Tavern will take place from Saturday, December 5th through Saturday December 12th. The theme this year is “A Winter’s Tale” and will celebrates books and stories that capture the wonder, warmth, and traditions of the holiday season. From timeless classics to cherished

children’s tales, each room will interpret a different literary work through imaginative decorations, seasonal greenery, and creative design. The result is a memorable celebration of storytelling, history, and holiday magic.

This community-wide seasonal event, led by the Country Garden Club of Weston, showcases local non-profits including the Weston Garden Club and the Weston Garden Club Evening Group, the Weston Public Library, Land's Sake Farm, the Weston Council on Aging, the Weston Art and Innovation Center and others. These talented groups will decorate the museum, upstairs and down, with creative nods to the theme.

Our collaboration with the Country Garden Club of Weston on our holiday open house design has been a tradition for almost 60 years!

Last season's spectacular "Trimming the Tavern - Here's to the Red, White and Blue!" celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary was a resounding success and was enjoyed by over 500 guests.
