BREWING THE REVOLUTION – Bay State Scavenger Hunt with the Memorial Hall Museum in Deerfield, MA

The Memorial Hall Museum in Deerfield, MA has a new exhibit “Brewing Massachusetts : How Beer Shaped the Bay State” opening on May 30th which will run through October 2026.  It will tell the story of Massachusetts brewing from the Pilgrims to the present through rare artifacts, photographs, and documents.

To kick off the exhibit they are running a digital app-based SCAVENGER HUNT throughout Massachusetts called “BREWING THE REVOLUTION”.  This brings participants to historic taverns and beer-related sites across the state including the Golden Ball Tavern Museum!  The challenge runs from May 24th to June 27th.

To play, you must first download the Eventzee App by searching for it in your app store. Within the app you can join the challenge with the Join code: BREWING.  From there the scavenger hunt challenge will be explained within the app.

You will have to VISIT each site in person and scan the unique code shown in the Brewing the Revolution poster found at each location – ours is in the bulletin board just outside our Visitors Center entryway.

Participants can complete simple challenges and compete for $3000 in prizes while learning about brewing in Massachusetts during the Revolution and having fun!

Details of the hunt, prizes and more can be found on the website of the Memorial Hall Museum – HERE.
