About our presenter:

"I am a beer historian, long-time home brewer, beer writer and scholar.

I am also an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. where I teach World and Food History as well as the histories of Technology, Capitalism and Business, and Imperialism and Colonialism. I received my doctorate from Northeastern University in 2016 where I studied World History and the History of Beer and Brewing through topics of Empire, Trade, and Taste. I also enjoy giving interviews, public and private lectures and talks about the long and varied history of this fun and fascinating libation. My monograph, Globalization in a Glass: The Rise of Pilsner Beer through Technology, Taste and Empire, is available now and published by Bloomsbury Academic Publishing as part of its Food in Modern History: Traditions and Innovations series."
