The Golden Ball Tavern Museum’s pilot third-grade distance learning program, A Day at the Golden Ball Tavern, focuses on a day in the life of 10-year-old Mary Jones, daughter of Golden Ball Tavern owner and well-known Weston Loyalist Isaac Jones.

The program begins with a synchronous virtual session with Golden Ball Tavern Museum staff that introduces the students to the tavern and Jones family.

The program continues with an educational narrative that shares information about various aspects of Mary Jones’s day. The narrative is complemented by accompanying learning activities to engage students. The teacher’s guide for the program includes links to supplemental videos should the instructor desire additional resources.
