What's New

Visit the new Timeline Exhibit which places the Jones-family history into Massachusetts, US and world context. Kelly Wood and the Weston Public Library have developed multi-grade-level booklists leading 4-6 graders to good books associated with the different periods in the Timeline: The American Revolution and events leading up to it, Post Revolution and the War of 1812, The 1800's: Industry and Travel, and The 1900's: A Century of Change.

The Golden Ball Tavern Museum has collaborated with six other museums to form the Tory Trail, creating an informative brochure and a web site (torytrail.org) to bring visitiors to our sites to learn more about the Tory history in Massachusetts.

The museum is collaborating with 33 historic sites in Roads to History offering theme tours. The sites have grouped into six themes and will have a web site directing visitors to information and downloadable maps for each theme's itinerary. The Golden Ball is part of the Revolutionaries: Risking Everything. Other themes are Not so Little Women, What's the Big Idea (new industrial and technological developments) and others. The web site should be available by May 2004.
